Finishing fifth is no longer a "can we?", but a "we can!". Another draw yesterday sees them only 3 points ahead of us with equal goal difference, though with 1 game in hand.

Spurs play Chelsea (a), Blackpool, Man City (a), Liverpool (a), Birmingham, and the Blackpool, City and LFC games are during the same week. If we keep winning, there is a chance that we'll be 5th regardless of the result in our final fixture (at Villa) - we may even have the luxury of a draw. 62 points is obtainable for LFC (3-1-0 = 10 points), and Spurs have every chance of finishing on the same total (2-1-2 = 7) - which means we'll be 5th on goal difference. If we win all 4 games, they could draw with both Chelsea and City and still finish 6th.

Obviously "them" in my first sentence means "Spurs", and when I said we had the same goal difference I actually meant that our goal difference is better by 4. That's a secret code I often like to use to confuse spies from other clubs, so if you were confused you must be a spy from another club.

in my opinion there is only 2good things from finishing 5th.

1) more prize money for finishing higher in the league ( not alot but still better then northing )

2) if tottenham and our self were to go for the same player finishing higher then them would suggest we are better team then them.

Its a strange feeling because part of me is saying come on you guys, keep winning and build a solid momentum for next season and the other half of me says please avoid the dreaded competition that is the europa league. Lets see what happens but I would rather finish 6 to be honest and avoid this drama, We can still keep this momentum going without going into the competition if spurs can pick themselves up and start winning. Its very strange not wanting to finish higher then the league but to be honest with you for me, finishing 2nd or 17th is the same thing, and that is premierleague survival. We possibyl cant make top 4 so lets avoid europe for a season and see what wonders it can do for us.

i don't care about the europe league but i just hope we can keep on winning and then lets see where we'll end up in the table.

Can anyone tell me what happens If Spurs finish 4th and Man City finish 5th but win the FA Cup does the other Europa League place go to the 6th place team or to Stoke for finishing runners up?
