The expression 'adapt or die' comes to mind. Clubs that have a spartan mindset will just fall further behind. We are doing the right thing, first time in a long time I've felt optimism in the way our club is being run.

I hope they go retro with future kits, like the Umbro kits from 70's & early 80s. Only white I want to see is the numbers, sponsor's name, collar and cuffs. No white on sleeves, shorts and socks, please.

Super stuff!! Off the pitch, we are heading in the right direction. 45 million alone for kit. That is simply amazing.

New Balance are not new to football, they were around in the mid 80's early 90's. disapeared due to not being able too keep up with the big guns like addidas, Nike, puma, reebok ect. The like of Neal Cox of Boro and Bryan Robson used to wear these boots to name a couple.

Has anything else been said about this? wouldnt it be a bad move to announce it just after the lastest adidas kit launch?

I didn't know that, I must confess. I've always enjoyed their running shoes, but I honestly can't recall ever seeing a shoe with studs with their logo on it.

It's a sad fact I know! I used to wear them wen I played and you got a leaflet with them when you got a new pair with the current players who wore them. they were a lot better than some of the Sh!t they churn out now.
