Agree John Holmes was a huge role model.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I think Alison Phillips (associate editor) of the Mirror summned it all up quite nicely tbh.

Rooney's other whinge is that he's not the first footballer to be caught swearing on camera, but he deliberately swore (his vile bile) not only into the lense of the camera, but into the homes and face of MILLIONS of people, THAT is the (BIG) difference.

I'm not impartial to a bit of swearing btw, and it can actually make some conversations quite humourous and be wholly appropriate, but NEVER knowingly in front of wimmin and youmgsters.

Apparently SAF did not know that you could get arrested for using foul language on a Friday night. How out of touch with reality can he be?

Foul language happens on the pitch, but once a player says it down a camera lens it is no longer just on the pitch. The ban was correct & I would back the ban no matter what player said it including any Liverpool player.

My lad watched it & thought he could swear in front of me when he was with his mates. He got more than a 2 match ban!

people are giving Rooney far too much credit by assuming hes adult and intelligent enough to realise his mistakes,in reality hes ignorant and hasn't two brain cells to rub together, he lives in a bubble! one were he thinks hes a god and is beyond any moral responsibility and the law! if he swore like that in the street in earshot of a policeman he could be arrested.

Well there you are then, as if proof was actually needed that this vile disgusting low life thug of a 'role model' does in fact have an inflience on his younger audience.
He disgusts me, violently. sick

This btw, has absolutely zero to do with him being employed by the scum. I'd feel exactly the same if a Liverpool player acted in that manner.
Take Diouf, the spitting dog for instance. sick

If footballers just realise the impact they have on impressionable young minds and if they use that influence correctly, imagine what that can achieve.

Most of them haven't got a brain to share amongst themselves to realise that fact.
It's the likes of gooney and that other lowlife scum bag barton that is helping create some of the filth that trawls our violent streets. Other factors as well obviously, but these absolute idiots are 'looked up to' and copied.

What I find hard to understand, are the number of so called 'fellow proffesionals' that appear to be supporting this cretin, and think he's been harshly treated!! shocked

God help us if this is the acceptable behaviour and direction we're all heading in. mad
