No one noticed how Torres's new 'team mates' never pass the ball to him? I thought he was Chelsea's best forward vs City, and every time he was in space within striking range the ball carrier went for glory rather than laying it off to him. Unless Ancellotti fixes this he won't score this season, and it doesn't look like the manager is even trying to address it. But that's what you get when you join a club that's all about ego - just ask the people at Real Madrid, the elephant graveyard of footballing talent.

Thundyr you are spot on. I will talk about Torres the footballer as I as a fan have moved on and to be honest would like him to do well. However when Chelsea scouted Torres for their team did they not already have in mind a system that suits him? Hodgson could not get the best out of him because of his tactics and neither will Chelsea. Rafa used a high pressing game forcing errors and releasing Torres early. Chelsea are so methodical and slow he always has his back to goal and this is not his strength. Yesterday Lampard had 5/6 shots when he could have easily slipped in Torres or Kalou with a smarter pass.
I also blame Torres as well, did he not see Chelsea's style of play before joining? I have little sympathy for the man but alot for the destruction of one of the worlds best players. I would be surprised to see him hit the heights under the current set up.

For me its all about looking forward, we can't live in the past, thats another world. You know I've already forgotten his first name! Did someone say something about a great player?...Oh yeah, now I remember... long live Kenny!

SAID IT BEFORE...the lad scored us a lot of goals some of which were brilliant and if your all honest, everyone of us loved to hear that torres song being sung load on the kop but we never won anything with him. this season he didn't look interested until January came a long....thanks for the goals, hope you score a hat trick against the mancs and you win nothing with chelsea ( unless it stops the mancs winning something )......time to move on lads,

don't be a hater. take the banter
