I would deff have him over ngog
They play different positions, so how can you justify that?
he usually plays just behind the striker but if he was a bit strounger i would deff give him a place on our bench and start him ahead of ngog but we are all entitled to are opinions.....
We are entitled to our opinions, but if you're going to take a striker out of the squad in order to field
yet another "player off the striker", aren't you cutting off your nose to spite your face? Someone actually has to go out there and be the striker, you know, and right now that guy is either Kuyt (questionable ability) or Carroll (injured). N'Gog allows you to play a more natural formation, even if he is not as technically gifted as Pacheco; football is a team game, after all.
Once Carroll is fit enough to start every game, then we
might have time for Pacheco on the bench in place of N'Gog, but that is not the present. I highlight "might" since Suarez and Gerrard are automatic first team picks that cover for the same, and only role Pacheco can play; which explains why Shelvey gets much more game time than Pacheco (shuffle a first teamer into the attack and bring into the midfield a hot prospect who
has taken the chances given). Sadly for Pacheco he will struggle to break into the first team as it stands no matter how good he is, which is why I continue to maintain he should have gone out on loan in January. So you see, Pacheco is not in competition with N'Gog, which was my point; one clearly well over your head.
