If they intend to build a new stadium, one would expect that they would plan for a 90,000 seater, but initially only flesh out 65-75,000 seats, but build the infrastructure in the surrounding area to support higher traffic volumes etc, as per a 90k. If demand is still there they can expand the stadium later according to the initial plans, otherwise they save a little on construction cost and time.

i agree with you Thundyr! as much as we love anfield we should only revamp it if its possible to get say 75 thousand in,if not then we must asap build on stanley park,it took years to gain approval for the site we cant throw it away so everything must be done to finance the new ground,i fear it means debt but you get nothing for free now so we will have to do it the Arsenal way.

I'm sure we could fit 75k in Anfield even without any re-development...

All we need is to get the fans on reducing diets! LFC could even make money out of it, selling the yummy powder at the Shankly Gates!

Now that's sorted - what next? whistle

Those scouse / meat pies are full of saturated fats. Stop all pies sausage rolls and instead sell only salad and mineral water. I am sure no one would object if they do just say shut up fatty and move up a space
