If you are talking about when Hodgson was in charge you will see the attendences have still dropped with Dalglish there, Fulham and Stoke prime examples and this is still Dalglish's honeymoon period when the Club is supposodly lookin healthier and also breaking club record signings, somethin is wrong somewhere.

Attendances for those two games are over 40,000 which is what you expect. Attendance for Liverpool v Bolton on New Year's day (usually a big turn out) was 35,000 under Hodgson. That's a very low attendance for us.
I think you are diluding yourself if you think those two 40,000 attendences are quite normal. What you are failing to take into consideration is that it is supposed to be coronation of the so called King, we are still inside his honeymoon period, it is supposodly the appointment most Liverpool fans wanted since the summer so there should be no excuses whatsoever for the falling attendences recently. If you are making excuses then you are clearly blind to the fact something is wrong, the Thomas Cook section and the wings of every stand was empty these are normaly full last season against Wolves was over 40k, Stoke there was nearly 45k and against Fulham nearly 43k.

Agree, football has steadily being taken away from the working class for years now.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

-Less important games (Fulham and Stoke for example)
-People just don't have enough money to go (considering the economy, unemployment, debts etc, this is a big one)

What else do you think might be the reason marineboy
yes I think alot of those reasons have contributed to dropping attendences, I think the Wolves game being the worst was mostly down to the first one after xmas when everyone is skint. I dont know how much is down to Hodgson, Dalglish or any manager really. I think the main one is because we draw most of our home support from outside I think most fans are thinking is it worth paying all the money in tickets, traveling and hotel costs just to watch an ordinary mid table football Club which sadly is now what we have become, especialy in this current climate, the thomas cook sections are visable proof of this only in my opinion.

Totally agree. The only way forward is to aim higher.Man.U. managed to do it at O.T.. If we cant do it at Anfield then it's time to move on. Our history is in our hearts, that can't change. This is'nt just about us in 2011, its for Liverpool F.C. to be a major force always. Put all your "eggs in one basket now" Re: staying at Anfield with that limit on ground capacity, this would be a massive mistake.
