Needs time to adapt to the PL beofre been thrown in to the lions den - there would have been too much expectation on him today - he would have felt he had to outplay Torres in every aspect of his game - which in fairness wouldn't have been too hard .... he could have run around for 60 mins like headless chicken and he would have appeared better than Torres.

i think he didn't play because of how tight the game was and if ya think on he can only possibly have had 2 or 3 training sessions with the team...i do think he'll start against wigan on Saturday

Suarez has been out for a while now, when he came in against stoke, the commentator was saying he had not trained with the team at all because he had to finilise his paperwork coming into a new country, so basically he did not know the lads that well, he did not know the full game plan. All he knew was Kuyt. Today was an important game and to throw him in there from the start would of been risky, because he can easily get injured if he hasn't had a game for a while. I think the king did the right thing and keeping him on the bench and since we were leading beyond the 70min, there was no need to weaken our midfield and allow him to enter. He could of replaced Kuyt to continue the same formation but Kuyt was splendid chasing defenders all over the place. King Kenny did the right thing, God bless you kenny.

I hope Suarez plays the next game against Wigan. I'm guessing Chelsea would have planned to play against Suarez so it may have confused them a bit! Looking forward to seeing him score more and more as the season continues.

Nah, it's called 'Manager of the Season', and if we manage to make 4th there is no doubt who will win that.
