I'd say 6th would be ours as all our rivals for 6th have been considerabley weakened in the January Transfer Window, apart from Bolton.

So in that case we should push for 5th place as a realistic target.

Also the difference between 5th and 6th may end up being less than 10 points, as you have to remember Spurs are in champ league knock outs and will lose points in the league when they play the knock outs, as shown in the group stages in the league.

4th though is unrealistic as our squad quite simply can't match up against the top 5 in head to head matches, untill we do so top 4 can't be thought of.

i think he was more of the cause than the symptom to be fair .

we had offers for both players rejected did we not??? Blackpool were acting the maggot and villa just didn't want to sell ..... we had already paid over the odds for carroll so with 50m on Torres's head everybody wanted to screw us .... and I'm sick and tired of LFC getting screwed in the transfer window.

I say 5th or 6th is a good season for us. 4th would be fab of course and we should definitely get Torres' opinion thereafter.

Sad to say a point would be great at the bridge but i am leaning towards losing 2-0. Chelsea are back to form.
