Cannot remember the last time a prem team fielded 6 defenders in a home game against Stoke, That, whether we win or lose is appalling.
Four of those defenders (Agger, Fab, Kelly and Johnson) are more than comfortable with the ball at their feet and have the ability to run and pass. I have loved every game KK has managed so far as fans have moaned about the lineup in every one of them yet when kick off has come the team has looked comfortable on the ball and passed well.
What message it should send to Stoke is: We know you are a long ball team and we will combat that. But when we have the ball can your lanky lumps cope with our passing and movement game?
By the way the negative attidude of some fans is typical of the new Liverpool. Not happy unless moaning and looking on the down side.
I look at that line up and I can see how having 4 tall players can cancel out Stokes one trick ponies, yet having Fab, Johnson and Kelly in the side gives us width to attack.
