He could turn out to be great but he hasnt proven anything in a top league yet. and we should pay accordingly as he is a bit of a gamble.
He has as much chance of being excellent as he has of being a total flop..
the problem and frustration doesn't come from who we are after but in that we are letting players go either sold or on loan, and yet we have known since Keane left that we are desperately short of strikers.
many have come and gone to other clubs yet LFC still dill dally about waiting for the right one. All very admirable but in the meantime the club continues to drift. We are niether investing in the future(wickham,chamberlain) nor the present. Sort of stuck in limbo.
The midfield contained 5 players last night and the youngest was 28. A serious lack of energy and youth. Poulson struggles with mobility and Kuyt looks knackered, Torres looked weary near the end as well. This squad will not make it to the end of the season in good form.
the addition of Adam,Suarez and N'Zogbia would give the whole club a lift and relieve some of the pressure on the small squad. we are in danger of not building on the 'Dalglish' factor and falling away again.
Alternatively bring back Aquiliani and Insua as we are desperately short quality.
