First of all spare me your pathetic labels. Secondly, the idea itself of having 'WOMENS' football is itself sexist, but that is allowed in this PC era we live in. Women have lots of sports for women only, that they also officiate in. So it's only fair that men should have theirs. And by the way before I let some moron on his high-horse judge me such as yourself, I also believe womens sports shouldn't have men officiating in theirs sports either. Otherwise it defeats the object of gender sports.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

If mens football was actually named 'mens football' like womens football is named 'womens football' you'd have feminists calling for the name to be dropped because it was sexist.

My point is that if we are going to mix and match, then what's the point of gender only sports, we may as well have mixed sports, but that's never going to happen. Why don't we have a womens ref in mens football? We all know the reason why, because we wouldn't like to see a women bullied, sworn at (from people like Rooney) and berated like refs in football are on a weekly basis. So why is it then ok to have a woman linesman (no pun intended) as they are abused also.

In heat of the game, with tempers rising, and with brainless morons like Rooney in the fold, I highly doubt that.

Well that's just conjecture on your part. I certainly wouldn't want to see a woman abused by foul-mouthed peasants like Rooney. And if a contentious decision was given in a big game, or just an important game, you'd soon see the abuse and shouting start. It's just bred into the game unfortuanetely. The 'respect' campaign utterly failed when they tried to change things.

Abuse universally hurts, regardless of gender, its if and how the individual handles it thats important.

But she WOULD get abused, that's the point. Dealing with it isn't the issue, it's that grown men would do it to a women that would sit uncomfortably with most people. They would be against a women ref for that reason, but are ok with her being on the lines even though they still get abuse from the nearness of the crowd and for getting offsides wrong. That is complete double-standards. Women are better off in the womens game, where the collective mentality of the game doesn't have the hard-wired ferociousness of the mens game.
