So I guess it's ok to bring in OOT players like Kenny and Torres? Or by the way: even Carra, who isn't a local according to Your own definitions!

But it's outrageous to bring in OOT supporters?!

If LFC had kept their feckin' fingers off Glenn Hysén, then perhaps we wouldn't have had so many Swedish fans! Wouldn't that have been nice? A few more seats in the arena for the Pure Liverpool Breed?!

Your spouts don't make any sense, Reclaim. You haven't got a solid line of argument going!

I personally like, like the OOT's . laugh
Got more of a bloody sense of humour and talk more sense than most of the piggin' scoucers in 'ere for starters.

we all accept that Alonso and even Arbeloa were big losses. For me we losing big Sami is as critical as Alonso. The zonal marking works very well when you have 1 large aggressive centre half. Not forgetting his composure and goal threat. A true legend at LFC thats for sure.

On the off field we never replaced Keane and have played the 'when will Torres be back' game ever since. Riera whilst not the greatest did add width and had good composure.Benny also added creativity and goals. Basically over a season through mainly lack of investment our team lost it's footballers and energy.
we need to buy some youth to get the balance of youth/experience back. Today it looks terrible but the addition 2/3 quality youth players would change the dynamics significantly.

Think you've hit the nail on the head their cp.
Sami was a massive player for us and is now sorely missed.

So that's 3 stunning players we lost virtually at the same time.
That is now enough to qualify us for being crap I think.
Questions answered so you can close the thread now thanks..

raffa did tend to get rid of players a tad too soon at times,i know its good to refresh the team but riise had abit more in in so too did sammi etc, too many exitees too soon messes the team up too early wink

Reclaim you talk some shiite and its not because of OOT's we are shiite, get real will ya.

I do agree tho that the club represents the city and the people who are from the city, there is no way that someone from outside the city holds the club in the same regard, im not saying they don't love the club, they just view it in a different way.

But like i said OOT's has nothing to do with us being crap, look at the scum, Arsenal.. Chelsea.., im sure they have the same scenario in spain, barca fans from outside of barcelona etc.

The clubs identity hasn't been lost complelty, i listen to various pundits say how much different the support of Liverpool is compared to other clubs, they wouldn't state this unless it was true, and there not LFC fans.

depends on how you define wrong. anything other that us challenging for league titles on a consistent basis is wrong. it started going 'wrong' during the souness era. he was a terrible manager for us but the situation that we have found ourselves in the past 20 years are not solely his creation.

years of mediocrity in bringing young players from academy through to first team regular.
being below average in the transfer market (missing players who should have bought, selling way too low, buying too high).
having attrocious people like moores and those two american gimps around for way too long

where did it all go wrong? at the start of the 90's. i know we've won the champos, fa cup etc and they're great. but any true lfc supporter knows what shankley was referring to...we know what our "bread and butter" is.
