Is watching the game on TV the similar to attending the stadium do you see the same match? I say they are two different experiences entirely and you actually see two different games ridiculous as that sounds. There are good and bad to both. The incidents penalty, handball etc you definitely see better on TV unless you have the same eyes as superman. But on TV you dont see the whole game only where the ball is going. The perspective also is different on TV you see from above whereas at the game you see from the side as you view the world in real life. At the game I tend to find my mind wanders more and the commentator on TV keeps my mind on the game. I have missed many a goal when daydreaming. However what you miss on TV is the intangible emotion and feel on the day there is absolutely no substitute for it even when they bring out the virtual technology it will never replicate being at the stadium.

Agree with you stanley! the real experience of the game at the ground has you tied to the emotional bond that develops, which is why although slightly off topic here i will be against ground share! (just my gut feeling on it) i really don't think i myself and possibly others new to an LFC ground wherever it is will get that same exclusive emotional bond if your at a ground that is not our spiritual home. as you say there are pros and cons whether you watch live or in ya armchair, still rather be there tho and watch highlights later if Ive day dreamed whilst at the ground smile

I've been at a few footie matches not anfield of course but there is definately a different experience from watching at home. For instance, I like to hear the supporters screaming and swearing at players whenever they do soemthing stupid hehe. Its very different, you can see the bigger picture in games, but you can't see the little things as stanley mentioned.

It's true that on TV you only get to see where the action is taking place but at the game you're probably watching the ball albeit from a poorer viewing angle. I go to games when I can and enjoy the atmosphere but MUCH prefer the view when watching on TV. As someone else said, there's pros, cons and personal preferences.

loved going the game, but after being to a lot of grounds around the country and several in europe I find anfield small and not a very comfortable stadium to be in. the seats are so close together and theres always a fat smelly get next to you. plus the ammount of tools that constantly stand up - even when we win a throw is annoying

I prefere to watch at home these days as the coverage is superb you dont miss a thing.

Nothing can beat going to the match though for a big game!!

Olympiakos final minutes , Extra time of 2005 semi vs Chelsea. No words to describe it. I am 3 year old as LFC Fan who feel jealous on fellow 40K+ lucky reds who were in stadium on those days.
It's something which I want to experience (50% of it at least) in Stadium sitting along with the fellow reds not in YouTube.
Hopefully i will be there next year to c a CL & EPL footy raising "Liverpool FC" scarf in My Hands

As I've got older, I'm happy enough watching the games on my projector. When I was younger I'd never miss a game. You can't beat been at the games though. No comparison.

dunk no one is saying reds cant be at the match or watch it on the telly , just stick was given out because being a old skool red of 34 years i want to win a cup just as much or mire than finishing 4th and saying man utd scoring 8 goals was unbelivable as a football fan as well as a reds supporter it was but got stick for it , and also i do respect the legends of the club like bobby wilcox and lenny woods and many more who do and have in bobby case did go home away and europe , its going be very soon when i watch the games on the telly , i dont go away any more because of money cant afford it and it was very close this season to not renewing due to funds .
