Interesting to see us make this move over Christmas. I wonder what forced our hand? Some would say it could be United's interest. I disagree. He can't have been a primary target or that would have leaked. Something changed somewhere. I'm looking forward to seeing him play for us. Let's hope the medical goes well smile

I'm surprised that we didn't sign a midfielder first, I suppose the Diaz/Jota situation forced the purchase. We still need a midfielder though

Too many injuries up top while Nunez missing clear cut chances seemed to have forced this signing. Oddly enough, I'm not too fussed regarding this signing as we need midfielders and fast.

I never in my wildest nightmares thought I would watch a Liverpool game where a starting Klopp Midfield 3 would contain
Oxlade-Chamberlain & Harvey Elliott

Gapko having 2nd thoughts after watching our last two games I suspect.

Athletically Gakpo is a bit of water carrier, so I don't know why we signed him. It's exciting that we have two great players with the ball at their feet, in Gakpo and Diaz. So brimming with attacking talent, and Gakpo is young so that's promising.
