Peter Crouch says Liverpool have a player who can become one of the PL's best midfielders - https://tbrfootball.com/peter-crouc...-become-one-of-the-pls-best-midfielders/

I totally agree with what Peter Crouch is saying. Klopp needs to stop being stubborn and move TAA to midfield full time. He has proven to be our best midfielder in the few games he played there.

I don't fully understand how a fullback can be a good central midfielder unless something has happened to football in defensive midfield??

Trent is an all-rounder not the best at using his pace against players - but his reading of the game and agility off the ball is an asset that can't be ignored.

Trent is best as a wing-back, therefore doesn't play like a CM mentally - that doesn't mean to say he can't be partnered with a roaming playmaker but it would be like asking him to know his positioning in a game that never goes backwards.

Trent was the only one trying to make things happen in midfield (given Gallagher couldn't support Kane and showed he's not game) so he should be praised for his performance against Malta. Without rose tinted specs, yes, he didn't work in midfield he got forced wider and deeper, but he's a real thoroughbred and I'm glad he was selected over JWP.
