Rather than call people a bloody moron would you care to provide the proof climate change is man made emp ? I won’t hold my breath

And vish listening to scientists is fine as is listening to experts (remember them?) but it’s not a substitute for thinking for yourself

when u think its dangerous lol. Proof? bloody listen to or read any of the 99% of scientists ... the bloody temp is rising , even if ur a moron like u and think its all religious, just out of caution we should do everything we can to stop it rising. Now if u actually read up on it u can see the scientists work.. the temp has never risen this gradually and its correlates with the industrial revolution ..what u think happens when u pump billions of CO2 into the atmosphere and also destroy all the bloody trees.. and the fact is its already happening ..global warming is now ..ur just a thick moron ...u moron.

its actually mad i have to post a reply but there seems to be a lot of u trump type morons in the west now sadly..

I am not sure the temp is rising there is debate over that but the weather is changing for sure. In fact it always changes over decades always has. As for 99% of scientists don’t know where that fact comes from.

Scientists cannot predict the weather in decades ahead they can barely predict it for the next day. But the weather changes that’s a fact whether mankind changes it is the question and that’s unproven. I asked you to prove it emp and other than calling me a bloody moron and telling me 99% of scientists say it no evidence there came,

I remember in the 70,s our science teacher telling the class we were heading into a new ice age that was taught in schools there was no argument it was fact then and scientists all said it. No ice age came

That taught me a valuable lesson in life by all means listen to experts but use your brain as well.

Try it

And for the record I am an environmentalist and I agree we are destroying the planet and very rapidly too. But it’s not emissions that’s the problem.

We are too dominant a species too much of the world is being developed the seas are overfished and polluted. There are simply too many Homo sapiens on this planet

Nature will sort it one day

So you have a point emp you are just barking up the wrong tree

u are barking mad..99.9 of scientist ..all religious is it?

he scientific consensus that humans are altering the climate has passed 99.9%, according to research that strengthens the case for global action at the Cop26 summit in Glasgow.

The degree of scientific certainty about the impact of greenhouse gases is now similar to the level of agreement on evolution and plate tectonics, the authors say, based on a survey of nearly 90,000 climate-related studies. This means there is practically no doubt among experts that burning fossil fuels, such as oil, gas, coal, peat and trees, is heating the planet and causing more extreme weather.

A previous survey in 2013 showed 97% of studies published between 1991 and 2012 supported the idea that human activities are altering Earth’s climate.

This has been updated and expanded by the study by Cornell University that shows the tiny minority of sceptical voices has diminished to almost nothing as evidence mounts of the link between fossil-fuel burning and climate disruption.

The latest survey of peer-reviewed literature published from 2012 to November 2020 was conducted in two stages. First, the researchers examined a random sample of 3,000 studies, in which they found only found four papers that were sceptical that the climate crisis was caused by humans. Second, they searched the full database of 88,125 studies for keywords linked to climate scepticism such as “natural cycles” and “cosmic rays”, which yielded 28 papers, all published in minor journals.

The authors said their study, published on Tuesday in the journal Environmental Research Letters, showed scepticism among experts is now vanishingly small.

What is Cop26?
Show
“It is really case closed. There is nobody of significance in the scientific community who doubts human-cased climate change,” said the lead author, Mark Lynas, a visiting fellow at Cornell University.

This echoed the view expressed in August by the world’s leading scientific body, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which said: “It is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land.”

The general public does not yet understand how certain experts are, nor is it reflected in political debate. This is especially true in the US, where fossil fuel companies have funded a disinformation campaign that falsely suggests the science is not yet settled, similar to the campaign by tobacco industries to cast doubt on the link between smoking and cancer.

The paper cites a 2016 study by the Pew Research Center that found only 27% of US adults believed that “almost all” scientists agreed the climate emergency was caused by human activity.

Many senior Republicans continue to cast doubt on the link between human activity and the climate crisis as market researchers have advised them to do since at least the presidency of George W Bush. According to the Center for American Progress, 30 US senators and 109 representatives “refuse to acknowledge the scientific evidence of human-caused climate change”. Several big media organisations and social networks also promote climate-sceptical views that have little or no basis in science.

Lynas said the study should encourage them to review their policies. “This puts the likes of Facebook and Twitter in a quandary. It is pretty similar to vaccine misinformation; they both lack a basis in science and they both have a destructive impact on society. Social networks that allow climate misinformation to spread need to look at their algorithms and policies or to be forced to do so by regulators.”

Some commentators have challenged the significance of a scientific consensus, saying it is a distraction from more pressing concerns. However, they say it is important for media organisations to avoid giving a false sense of balance by giving equal weight and coverage to for-and-against arguments. Most important, a consensus is seen as vital for a concerted international response to the climate crisis.

Nice cut and paste emp but no evidence. I have read much on the climate change evidence no need to paste from an article. However it’s all assertions based on data.

That’s not proof it’s an opinion.

And remember the climate change industry is worth billions if not trillions. Many scientists rely on climate change for their job and income

I don’t know whether man made climate change is fact. But even if it is Britain acting alone is pointless given we are 0.9% of the worlds emissions. China India Russia and the USA the worlds biggest polluters are largely ignoring it. China is not even attending the Glasgow conference

In terms of environmental measures I am all for them I was green before it became fashionable to be green. But putting a few poor people in western countries into dire poverty will solve nothing whether man made climate change is true or not

And emp rather than insulting and cutting and pasting why not use the brain god gave you ?

Saying I am thick is code for you have no answers to my post. What do 99% of the scientists in China say about climate change emp ? Slightly different to what UK scientists say I wager.

I will admit I don’t know but I am bright enough to know unless the entire world acts (particularly the major polluters) Britain hammering the poor with stratospheric energy bills will achieve nothing other than creating misery

And how odd a toy town socialist revolutionary supporting capitalism and hammering the poor

wtf are u jabbering on about..can u not control the verbal diarrhoea ? so the gas and lecky price rises are the fault of environmentalists now? lol .. u really are just ridiculous . ur all ready hammering the poor to death and fossil fuel usage is set to increase even further.. u right wing bullshitters are just so full of crap its untrue
