His pace is so important to us. Without him we are too easy to play against. Keep perspective, Swansea third goal was unlucky.

Matin return will make a huge difference. Should have started.

Yeah we miss him more than I thought we would. We need to play our strongest team on Wednesday and get some momentum going again

Never understood why we didn't play Matip today, I know we only got clearance last night but he's been in training for a few weeks, so must be ready, it's not like we've been defending well for the last few weeks.

I think Klopp got it wrong today, only he knows why he started with Can, Henderson and Wijnaldum and left Sturridge on the bench. I knew we would miss Mane because we have nobody to replace him.

Yep, I think he got it wrong, we had lot of possession but no real penetration, we needed to stretch the Swansea defence and create space.

But our defending was awful, their attackers were just running past our defenders, with 2 or 3 defenders letting 1 player run through, someone needed to get stuck in and put a marker down, it's like we were surprised they dared run at us and attack.

To be fair, Swansea came to Anfield, kept it solid and committed to attack us when they got the chance, so credit to them.

At least the Results with Man City/Man Utd/Tottenham drawing meant they did not close the gap too much.

Hopefully Klopp will read them the riot act on that defending and Matip can help sort them out.

Well we scored a few goals so we're obviously able to cope without him in that respect. Yes it was 'only' Swansea but still.

I'm also unsure of who exactly we could replace him with bearing in mind he'll be back soon?

We scored 2 goals at home against the bottom team, in normal circumstances that should be enough to win the game, our defending let us down today rather than missing Mane.

Mane is one of our best players defending in front and tracing back, however, it not only him, Coutinho is not fully match fit neither. Our sterile possession was because of that and we are always vulnerable on set pieces and counters.

We play with 4 attacking players in Mane, Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana. We have no proper replacement when any one of them is out, even if Origi did a job a few times, he is not the same type.
