Tottenham have been linked with a possible move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could enter the marker this month for a striker after losing star player Harry Kane to injury. The England captain damaged ligaments in his left ankle during Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United and is expected to be out of action until March.
It is claimed that Pochettino has short-listed the 23-year-old Origi who has just over a year remaining on his contract. However, there is no suggestion of any approach at this time.
The speculation that suggests Origi could make the switch to Spurs is weak and few would expect it to happen. A more likely outcome is that Origi is moved out in the summer, a possibility that former Liverpool striker John Aldridge would welcome.
Aldo commented: “Divock Origi, for me, is a no-no. I think the Reds will need more than what the Belgium international offers, so it is an area where Klopp will have to look at.”
