Reports in Spain claim that Valencia are looking into the possibility of signing Timo Werner to replace Rodrigo who is heading to Atlético Madrid. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with Liverpool but once again, nothing materialised during the summer. He has a year remaining on his contract with RB Leipzig who are reportedly willing to cash in now for around £25million.
Philippe Coutinho is wanted by Bayern Munich and PSG. The Barcelona man wanted a return to Liverpool during the summer but despite interest from Anfield, the Reds opted not to meet the loan demands that were put on the table by Barca officials.

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan says he wouldn’t want former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge around any club he owned. Jordan said he wouldn’t want him anywhere near the dressing room, the training ground or his players. “I wouldn’t [take him] but I’m sure there’s someone foolish enough to take him,” said Jordan. It is claimed that Sturridge has 13 offers from various clubs including Fenerbahce. However, Director of Football Damien Comolli says they can’t afford the player’s wage demands. A decision is expected this week as to where Sturridge will be playing his football this season.
Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Sadio Mane is “ready” to face Chelsea on Wednesday. The boss will be without goalkeeper Alisson Becker and although a couple of players have some minor knocks, there are no other major issues that he’s having to deal with. However he does point out that “we need to think about the Southampton game, we come back on Thursday and two days later we play Southampton, so we cannot ignore that game as well.”
