Liverpool will have to pay AC Milan €40million (approximately £36.5m) if they want to re-sign the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.
It has been mooted for a while that the Reds are considering a move for the Spaniard who failed to make an impact at Anfield.
Despite an unconvincing spell on Merseyside, many supporters felt he should have been retained as he finally started looking like he may make the grade so it won’t have come as a surprise to them that he’s finally matured into somewhat of a decent player for Milan.
The player is aware of the reported interest in him and although he insists he’s happy where he is, he also hasn’t ruled out the idea of a possible return.
Speaking recently, Suso said: “I could have left even before signing the new contract, but I am very happy here. But then in football, there is nothing called for life.”
It is claimed that the player has a €40million release clause in his contract and that if Liverpool step up to trigger it that they will force competition for his signature from Juventus.
