Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid could be cooling their interest in Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah.
It is claimed that the Spanish giants have turned their attention to Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski after being priced out of a move for the 25-year-old Egyptian.
While speculation that Real Madrid still want Salah will no doubt rumble on regardless, it’s interesting that over the last few weeks a few reports have now come out of Madrid stating the opposite.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez appears willing to do business with Liverpool with Kop boss Jürgen Klopp believed to be interested in a number of his players. The suggestion previously was that this could help relations between the two clubs ahead of a planned move by them for Salah. However, the Liverpool ace clearly isn’t for sale and providing he doesn’t try to force a move any time soon, he will be going nowhere.
As well as apparently cooling their interest in Salah, there are also suggestions that Real Madrid won’t make a move for Tottenham hitman Harry Kane, again because he would command such a high transfer fee.
The transfer window will soon be open for business so expect more conflicting reports and contradictions over the coming weeks and months.
One thing’s for sure, you can never trust Real Madrid.
