Liverpool scouts are continuing to monitor German youngster Kai Havertz.
The 18-year-old became Bayer Leverkusen’s youngest ever Bundesliga player at 17 years and 126 days when they handed him his first team debut last year. He then became their youngest ever goalscorer when he scored his first goal, a late equalizer in a 3–3 draw with VfL Wolfsburg, in April this year.

Although heavily linked with Liverpool during the summer transfer window, nothing materialised on that front with the Reds opting to continue monitoring his progress.
Liverpool scouts watched him in blistering form for Germany Under 19s this week when he scored 4 goals, 2 of which were penalties, and set up another in a 5-1 win over Belarus in Zabrze, Poland.
Havertz, who recently signed a new contract at Leverkusen, has previously been likened to a combination of Michael Ballack and Mesut Özil.
His Leverkusen team-mate Benjamin Henrichs is also under observation by Liverpool scouts.
