Reports originating from Spain claim that Liverpool have told Real Madrid that they will have to pay £173million in cash and throw in Vinícius Júnior if they want to take Sadio Mané to the Bernabéu.
Speculation has been mounting for some time that the Spanish giants are interested in signing the Liverpool ace and if you choose to believe the latest claims, the Reds have made their demands known. However, the source of the latest claims can’t be deemed credible and Liverpool certainly don’t want to sell the 27-year-old so we’re not sure you should read too much into them.
It would though be foolish to rubbish all the claims that are being made about Real’s interest in Mané but at the present time we’re quite relaxed about things. Comments made by the player to the club’s official magazine also suggest that he’s settled and not considering his options at the present time.
Mané said: “Of course I want to be a legend not only for Liverpool but also in the Premier League story and that is one of my targets. I will do everything possible to achieve everything possible.
“Reaching 100 games means a lot to me. To play this many games for a club like Liverpool is incredible.
“Like I have always said, I am very happy to play for this club and every single day I am enjoying being here and trying to do everything to win something for this club.”
There were rumours from within Melwood last summer that Mané may have been a little unsettled but the good news is that there’s been nothing of the such suggested since then.
If Liverpool were to secure major silverware this season it would certainly help Jürgen Klopp to hold on to Mané and his other star players and it would also help with this summer’s recruitment plans.
