Sadio Mané has been given the green light to travel to Paris with the rest of the squad for tomorrow’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old Liverpool ace trained at Melwood today despite being hit by an illness earlier in the week. He was assessed this morning by the club’s medical team and passed fit enough to train with the rest of the troops.
Mané is scheduled to appear at today’s pre-match press conference along with Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp but it is not known if he will still attend.
Meanwhile, the imam at Al Rahma mosque in Liverpool which Mané attends, has been speaking about the image that was circulated on social media recently which showed the Senegalese star cleaning the toilets at the mosque.
Abu Usamah Al-Tahabi commented: “Sadio requested that no video was sent out. He wanted to remain discreet and wasn’t doing it for publicity.
“He comes to the mosque often. At his house he has a Bentley – but he comes to us in a not-so-fancy car, so he is incognito.
“He’s not a person looking for fanfare. There’s no arrogance.”
