Roma’s Emerson Palmieri linked with Liverpool again

Emerson Palmieri

Roma ace Emerson Palmieri has been linked with a possible move to Anfield again.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has previously had the 23-year-old left-back scouted and had he been fit in the summer, we wouldn’t have been surprised had he made a formal offer for him.

Palmieri has been training with Roma’s youngsters ahead of a possible November return as he recovers from an anterior cruciate ligament injury which he sustained back in May.

A couple of months ago KOPTALK informed you of claims which stated that both clubs had held talks about a possible future deal if he successfully recovered and regained full fitness.

Palmieri, who represented Brazil at Under 17 level but switched his allegiance to Italy earlier this year, joined Roma from Santos for just £1.8million last year following an impressive loan spell with the Serie A outfit.

We believe that Klopp is an admirer but the fact that Palmieri had that ACL injury will no doubt result in the boss taking his time with this one, if indeed he even follows up on his initial interest

The Italian media claim Liverpool remain interested.
