Roma are willing to do business with Liverpool for their highly-rated goalkeeper Alisson and have set a €90million (£78.5m) valuation.
Liverpool have previously enquired about the 25-year-old’s availability and remain interested in the possibility of doing a deal but they are also looking at Atlético Madrid’s Jan Oblak, also 25.
Oblak currently has a €100million (£87.2m) release clause in his contract and his employers want to double that while offering him a substantial pay rise at the same time in the hope that Liverpool will end their interest.
Speaking a few days ago, Atlético CEO Miguel Ángel Gil commented: “He wants to stay with us and we want him to stay.
“We are going to try and make his release clause higher.”
