Everton forward Richarlison has played down suggestions that he could be a transfer target of Liverpool’s.
Reports originating from Brazil yesterday claimed that the 21-year-old Brazilian could be attracting the interest of Jürgen Klopp after his representative was a recent visitor to the Liverpool manager’s home. That development has obviously sparked speculation that he could make a controversial switch from Goodison to Anfield in the summer.
Although no official statement has been issued by Everton or the player and his representative, the suggestions have been played down by all parties. Liverpool are obviously silent on the matter.
The player himself took to Twitter to merely say: “I’m happy!” which was welcomed by Everton supporters.
Richarlison, who was signed for the £35million last summer from Watford, has scored 13 goals in 33 games this season.
We know that Klopp is an admirer of the player who is said to be valued at around the £70million if you choose to pay attention to the various transfer links concerning him.
He is under conract until 2023.
