Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Sam Hart is wanted by Grimsby Town.

Town boss Russell Slade has confirmed that the 20-year-old left-back is under consideration.

“He’s on our list,” said Slade.“He’s played in League One on loan from Liverpool and did okay, so that’s a position we’re looking for but there are others as well.”
