Rhian Brewster has agreed terms on a professional contract with Liverpool following months of negotiations.
Borussia Mönchengladbach had tried to lure the 18-year-old striker to Germany but Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards convinced the youngster that there would be plenty of opportunities ahead of him at Anfield if he continued to work hard.
Brewster has been outstanding at youth level and if he can maintain that form and progress, he could prove to be a major star for Liverpool in the future.
Although there is no official confirmation of these developments from the club as yet, we understand that Brewster, who was wanted by at least 3 European outfits, has committed himself to a 5-year contract.
Liverpool fans can look forward to him being more involved with the first team next season following his promotion.
