Real Madrid are willing to offer Liverpool £43million in cash along with 26-year-old attacking midfielder Isco for Mo Salah, claim reports originating from Spain.
DiarioGOL claim Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is preparing to test Liverpool with the offer ahead of the summer transfer window. It is claimed that Pérez believes that £43million plus a player that he considers is worth around £65million, could be enough to tempt the Reds into doing business. It is worth noting that Isco was valued at around £80million last summer and his valuation is continuing to plummet after falling out-of-favour at the Bernabéu.
Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with having an interest in Isco recently and he’s one of those players who is continually linked with Reds on an ongoing basis. However, nothing ever comes to fruition.
Mo Salah obviously isn’t available and such a package wouldn’t be entertained by Liverpool. The reports are rather speculative and pretty weak in our opinion and although we believe Real Madrid have a genuine interest in Salah, we don’t believe that they are currently trying to make something happen. That could, of course, change but for now we’re pretty relaxed about these reports.
Under contract until 2022, Isco has been named in Real’s starting line-up just 5 times in their La Liga campaign this term. He has scored 4 goals in 26 this season and has managed just 1 assist.
Salah will be offered an annual basic salary of £17.2m salary (approximately £330,000-a-week) if he agrees to a switch, add the reports.
