Rangers want Liverpool striker

Dominic Solanke

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is interested in signing Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke.

The 20-year-old hitman is wanted on a loan to lead the Rangers attack next season and it’s claimed that informal talks between himself and Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp have already taken place to establish if a deal could be worked out.

Signed from Chelsea in 2017, Solanke hasn’t made much of an impact at Anfield but he did finally open his account for the club against Brighton at the weekend thanks to an assist from Mo Salah.

Solanke still has plenty of time on his side to make a name for himself but he may have to go out on loan to improve his chances of that.

Gerrard has also been linked with moves for former Liverpool duo Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel.
