Rafael Camacho named in Champions League squad

Rafael Camacho

Portuguese youngster Rafael Camacho has been named in the 21-man squad that’s heading to France for tomorrow’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

Camacho, who impressed during pre-season, is yet to feature for Liverpool’s first team but was an unused substitute at Everton in April.

After scoring the winner in Sunday’s Under-23s’ Merseyside derby, he finds himself promoted to Jürgen Klopp’s Champions League squad for the crunch tie.

The Portugal U18 international is usually deployed as a winger but he can play anywhere across the front line. He can also be relied upon as a right wing-back.

Sadio Mané is also included in the squad after the club’s medical team passed him fit to train today following an illness.
