Philippe Coutinho has reportedly told Liverpool that he doesn’t want to be named in their Champions League squad in case Barcelona make an offer for him during the January transfer window.
Clubs have to submit their A List of players to UEFA by September 1st and it is claimed that the Brazilian wants to be left out of Liverpool’s squad to prevent him from becoming cup-tied for the Catalan giants.
If true, this is the first indication that the player may be starting to accept that he won’t be allowed to leave Anfield this month and is now instead focusing on a possible January transfer.

Earlier today Barcelona announced that they had reached an agreement for the signing of Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembélé for an initial £97million. Despite that investment, Barcelona are still being tipped to make a final push for Coutinho before the current window closes.
Coutinho, whose mood has been described as “very low at the moment”, is said to be “worried” about the Dembélé deal for obvious reasons.
Despite all the rumours, the reports, the claims and the suggestions, Liverpool insist Coutinho will not be allowed to leave Anfield at any price.
Meanwhile, KOPTALK sources still expect Liverpool to make a final push for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk before the window closes.
