James Milner and Joel Matip are to be rewarded with contract extensions following the Champions League final.
The Liverpool duo both have a year remaining on their deals and the Reds would like to see them extend their stay further.
Matip (27) is to be offered improved terms following some impressive displays alongside Virgil van Dijk during the second half of the season while Milner (33) is likely to be offered another year due to his veteran status with another review at the end of next season. Both players are expected to put pen to paper after positive feedback from their camps.
Meanwhile, reports today claim that Liverpool are looking for a £4million loan fee for Harry Wilson next season. Derby County paid around £3million for his services last season and he rewarded their faith in him with 16 Championship goals.
There have been suggestions that Wilson is looking to leave Anfield permanently with a host of clubs chasing the 22-year-old Welshman. Talks with Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp are expected to take place once the Champions League final is out of the way.
