Manchester United legend Gary Neville claims Liverpool striker Mo Salah will leave Anfield in the summer.
The Sky Sports’ pundit, who believes that United will win a Premier League title again before Liverpool win their first, accepts that the Reds will challenge City again this term but he believes they’ll still fall short.
Neville said: “Liverpool, City, Tottenham, all these clubs have had poor recruitment policies over the last 25 or 30 years at times. So United are going through one at the moment.
“Eventually they will stumble upon the right recruitment system, the right recruitment people, they’ll get a great manager – hopefully that’s Ole – and they’ll start to win again. That’s going to happen.
“I can guarantee you as clear as day, Manchester United will win again. They’ll probably win the league before Liverpool, in my opinion. And that’s not being disrespectful, they’ll probably win the league before Liverpool.”
He added: “Salah’s going to leave in the next 12 months, I can see it already. He [Carragher] knows, he won’t say it. I can see it, you can feel it, you can smell it…”
Few Liverpool fans will pay much attention to Neville’s claims about Salah leaving but could there be some truth in what he’s saying? What we do know is that Neville has no connections at Anfield so he has no inside information that’s for sure. However, he may not be a million miles away with his opinion.
