Marko Grujić says he still hopes that can get a chance at Anfield under Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp.
The 23-year-old midfielder is currently on a season-long loan at German club Hertha BSC and although he remains focused on helping them as much as possible, he confesses that Liverpool is still on his mind. He also reveals that he’s not in regular contact with his manager back on Merseyside but that the Reds do check on him weekly.
Providing his latest thoughts, Grujić said: “Not often [do I speak with Jürgen Klopp]. Liverpool play many games and have loaned out many players. But there is a responsible person who looks after the loaned out players, who keeps in touch and gives feedback. We call after every game.”
Speaking specifically about a possible career at Anfield, he added: “Everyone would, of course, like to play for such a team, but for that, I have to show better performances.
“But I do not think much about Liverpool, but of how we get on with Hertha from the current situation.”
Hertha Berlin are 12th from 18 in the Bundesliga.
