Liverpool Football Club remain confident that they will still be able to cash in on the sale of Mamadou Sakho this summer.
The 27-year-old France international has reported back for pre-season training and is currently training alone but only because he is recovering from a knee injury that he sustained while on loan at Crystal Palace.

Liverpool still believe that they will be able to bank around £30million for him despite Crystal Palace having claimed to have ended their interest because of that valuation.
His current deal doesn’t expire for another 3 years and with Everton having just shelled out £25million for Michael Keane despite him only having a year left on his Burnley contract, Liverpool officials believe they are entitled to ask for a fee in excess of that.
Sakho is willing to fight for his place at Anfield but following a number of disciplinary problems, he hasn’t turned out for the Reds for 15 months and it would appear he won’t be given another chance.
Liverpool subsequently remain in the transfer market for another centre-back with Virgil van Dijk still on their radar.
