Luis Suarez has admitted that he would like to play for Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp.
The Barcelona striker was talking to German publication 11 Freund when he spoke about his ongoing connection to his former club. During the interview with the monthly sports publication, the Uruguayan, who turns 32 tomorrow, was asked if he would like to play for the German manager.
Suarez commented: “Anyone who has ever played in Liverpool remains connected to the club for a lifetime.
“The team plays terrific football and I am very interested in how they will do this year. I think we can still be prepared for a lot.”
As for playing under Klopp, he added: “Currently we work for two different clubs so that’s not an issue for me at the moment. But sure every player would like to train under Jurgen Klopp.”
There has been speculation of late that Barcelona could be looking at moving Suarez out in the not too distant future due to his age. There have been multiple suggestions that the Catalan giants are in the market for a young replacement which makes sense but it is unlikely that Suarez will surrender and push for an immediate exit should one be recruited.
