Loris Karius made available for transfer

Loris Karius

Reports today claim that Liverpool have made Loris Karius available for transfer.

Although the 25-year-old obviously hasn’t been formally transfer listed, it is claimed that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp would consider offers for him after signing Alisson from Roma for £67million.

Simon Mignolet is also close to an exit – with Barcelona one of a handful of clubs who have registered an interest – but even so, the suggestions are that Klopp would be willing to allow both of them to go because he’s been impressed with back-up ‘keepers Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher during pre-season.

Danny Ward was also sold to Leicester City for a fee of around £12.5million just a couple of weeks ago.

Karius could be loaned out or even sold. Much of course will depend on if anyone steps up with an offer, but with the transfer window set to slam shut on August 9th, we wouldn’t be surprised if nothing happened on that front.
