Liverpool want Real Madrid star Luka Modrić – REPORTS

Luka Modric

Reports originating from Spain claim that Liverpool want to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić.

It is claimed that the Reds want to sign the 32-year-old former Spurs man following suggestions that he wants to return to the Premier League.

If reports are to be believed, Modrić is looking for a move to London with Arsenal reportedly showing interest.

The claims are very speculative and we’re not convinced that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp would be looking at a 32-year-old who is coming to the end of his career when he already a has a number of options at his disposal including the incoming Naby Keïta.

Meanwhile, Juventus appear to have accepted that Emre Can won’t be making a decision about his future until the season has concluded.

The Liverpool midfielder has failed to agree a new contract with Liverpool and is expected to make the switch to the Italian giants on a free transfer in the summer. Although free to sign a pre-contract with them since January 1st, the Germany international says he won’t be making any decisions until the summer as he wants to focus on his football.

Juventus managing director Beppe Marotta commented: “We are not going to have a final reply anytime soon.

“He is a top player and many clubs want to sign him. He is available as a free agent.

“We’ve already made our move but his reply is not going to arrive anytime soon.”
