Newspaper reports claim that Liverpool will make an attempt to sign Aaron Ramsey during the January transfer window.
Speculation continues to suggest that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp is interested in recruiting the 27-year-old midfielder who is out of contract in the summer.
Reports claim that Arsenal have withdrawn a contract offer worth £200,000-a-week and that Gunners’ boss Unai Emery is looking at Napoli’s Piotr Zielinsk as a replacement. The suggestions are that Arsenal chiefs pulled the contract offer because they can’t afford the layout due to missing out on the Champions League again.
Liverpool are favourites to sign Ramsey according to the bookies and if claims that Klopp made a formal enquiry about the player’s availability in the summer are true, a fresh move in January won’t come as a surprise. The latest reports state that Liverpool will make an official approach over the coming months.
It is claimed that Ramsey is interested in a move to Anfield and that one of the reasons is because he’d like to link up with former Arsenal team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The duo were at the Ryder Cup at Le Golf National in Paris over the weekend. They were photographed taking part in the celebrations when Europe came out winners over the United States.
When Oxlade-Chamberlain left Arsenal for Liverpool, Ramsey publicly commented that he was gutted at this pal had moved on and that Arsenal had lost another British player.
