Speculation linking Liverpool with a possible move for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakir is rumbling on.
The latest reports suggest that the Reds are considering tabling a formal transfer offer for the 23-year-old during the January transfer window due to concerns that Italian giants Juventus are stepping up their interest.
KOPTALK reported last week that Çakir was impressing Liverpool scouts and that he had been recommended to Kop boss Jürgen Klopp for recruitment consideration.
Çakir came through the youth set-up at Trabzonspor and made his senior debut for the club in 2015 when he was just 19. He received his first cap with Turkey back in May in a friendly against Greece. He closed up 20 appearances last season in which he kept five clean sheetsto help his club secure European qualification and a 4-place finish.
Initially valued at around £14million, that valuation has now almost doubled as a result of Liverpool’s interest, if reports are to be believed.
