Liverpool reject transfer bid

Jerome Sinclair

Liverpool have rejected a £1.5million transfer bid from Watford for Jerome Sinclair despite the fact that his contract expires in the summer.

The bid, which was worth a total of £3million depending on appearances and success, was swiftly turned down.

Liverpool are waiting to see if anyone else steps forward with a more attractive offer for the player who is hoping to secure his exit today.

There are suggestions that Liverpool may hold on to Sinclair to try and use him as a potential makeweight in other deals but that seems unlikely to us.

Whatever the outcome Liverpool are willing to hold on to him until the summer and settle for compensation if necessary.

Sinclair is represented by controversial agent Aidy Ward who also represents Raheem Sterling.
