Liverpool officials are playing down reports that suggest Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp will be making a move for Bundesliga top scorer Luka Jovic.
Reports originating from Germany claim that Liverpool are ready to compete with Barcelona and Bayern Munich for the highly-rated 20-year-old but Anfield insiders are making it known that this isn’t the case.
Jovic, who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica, is receiving a lot of attention following his impressive form this season and a big money move is being mooted. But, he won’t be making the switch to Anfield if you believe the official line that’s coming out of the club.
It is claimed that Klopp still has faith in Dominic Solanke who is yet to feature for the Reds so far this season. He also believes rookie Rhian Brewster, who inked a professional contract in the summer, will continue to progress. Divock Origi remains at the club but he will be on his way in January or at the end of the season.
Officials claim the boss will not be entering the market for a striker any time soon.
