Reports in Spain today claim that Liverpool have made a fresh approach to Real Madrid regarding the availability of Dani Ceballos.
The 22-year-old midfielder was linked with the Reds yesterday but there is additional speculation today which suggests that the player is receiving further attention from Anfield.
Ceballos, who was named by UEFA in their UEFA European Under-21 Championship Team of the Tournament following his outstanding performances for Spain this summer, is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans at Real Madrid next season which has prompted interest from ourselves along with Premier League outfits Arsenal and Tottenham. Mainstream media sources in Spain also claim a further 23 clubs have registered their interest in the player who is said to be valued at around £53.7million.
Linked with Liverpool multiple times in the past, Ceballos is an exciting player that has been monitored by Anfield scouts for a couple of years now.
Under contract until 2023, the question is: Are Liverpool interested in signing him and is he available for transfer? One source claims the reported approach has been made direct to Bernabéu by Liverpool’s Sporting Director Michael Edwards and he explains why this is significant.
