Newspaper reports this morning claim that Liverpool ‘could’ be interested in making a move for Joe Hart in the summer.
The 29-year-old Manchester City goalkeeper, who is currently out on loan at Serie A outfit Torino, looks set to be sold once that deployment concludes and Anfield could be a possible destination if you choose to believe today’s claims.
Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has had to bench his new goalkeeper Loris Karius following a number of mistakes and heavy media attention while Simon Mignolet isn’t seen as a long term solution. As a result, various football hacks are linking us with numerous ‘keepers.
City boss Pep Guardiola replaced Hart with Claudio Bravo and it is widely accepted that there is no way back for Hart who is enjoying himself in Italy. However, it would appear that he is still looking to return home next season. He won’t, of course, have a shortage of interested clubs but not many will be able to pay his existing £120,000-a-week wages.
