Liverpool have been linked with Sheffield United’s promising winger David Brooks.
The highly-rated 20-year-old, who has represented Wales and England at youth level, is apparently attracting interest from Liverpool’s scouting team following a number of impressive displays in The Championship, the second-tier of English football.

It is claimed that the Reds have formally registered their interest in the former Manchester City youngster to United officials after he was recommended to Kop boss Jürgen Klopp by Liverpool scouts.
A source is quoted as saying: “David’s progress has been staggering, from fringes of the squad to first name on team-sheet – the ambition at United is now just to keep him for the rest of this season.”
Despite only signing a new deal with The Blades earlier this year, they’re already looking at offering him improved terms following the recent attention he has generated.
United boss Chris Wilder recently warned off circling clubs when he said: “He won’t be going anywhere [in January]. We’ve said that all along.
“We are building something here. There are always casualties along the way when you do that and, yes, we are already looking to January ourselves.”
Everton and Newcastle United have also been linked.
