Reports originating from Italy claim that Liverpool Football Club has held talks with Manchester City about the possibility of brokering a deal for Joe Hart.
It is claimed that Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp may be interested in recruiting the goalkeeper in the summer if Manchester City are willing to sell at a realistic price.
Both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have dropped some right clangers this season, although since Karius was dropped in favour of Mignolet, some fans may feel that the competition is doing them both some good. Their performances have led to speculation that Klopp will try and bring in another goalkeeper but we can’t see this as being high on his list of priorities.
KOPTALK sources believe Mignolet’s agent is currently inviting interest in his client so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he was moved out although Klopp obviously isn’t going to let Karius go anytime soon.
Are today’s specific claims true? We don’t think so. While we do believe Klopp has looked at Hart’s situation, we believe his status remains only at ‘under consideration’. We don’t believe there have been any talks about a possible deal as of this time. However, we wouldn’t dismiss our interest just yet.
Chelsea and Everton have also been linked with Hart (29) who is currently on loan at Italian outfit Torino. Chelsea’s interest appears genuine.
