James Rodríguez will sign for Manchester United and not Liverpool or Arsenal in the summer if the latest reports are to be believed.
The 25-year-old Real Madrid midfielder was previously under consideration by Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp although we reported last month that his interest appeared to be cooling.
We’re unsure if our interest waned because the boss had someone else on his radar, which we think is the most likely scenario, or because United had made some significant progress with their attempts to tempt him to Old Trafford.

Rodríguez was substituted during Real Madrid’s last La Liga home game of the season against Sevilla on Sunday and waved to all four sides of The Bernabéu and took his time to leave the pitch which looked like a ‘goodbye’ to us.
Earlier this year it had been reported that Liverpool were willing to pay up to £43million to land the player and that he had indicated that he was willing to consider a transfer to Anfield. However, the speculation soon died off and it looks like Rodríguez may have signed a pre-contract agreement with José Mourinho’s [extremely dull] Manchester United.
There is no official confirmation about his future so he could end up somewhere else but in our opinion, he won’t end up at Liverpool.
